Marvellous Words

Walking the beach on sun kissed sand
My words followed hers, no intent to be grand

Then marvelling at the things Id said
She'd say I was different, set ahead

I think now that I should have known
That I would end up all alone

If working bulls, are un-evenly yoked
The strong one pulls, and the weak is choked

It's ended then, as it should
As words before me said it would

Remembering times laying in bed
She'd marvel at the things I said

The Savage in the Woods

I am the savage in the woods
The one who sands agains the grain
Your disagreeing brother
And the one who can't be tamed

I speak not out of ignorance
Of your culture or your ways
Nor out of fear and loathing
For your high and mighty days

You sit amongst your peers because
In numbers there is might
Pontificating ways to say
Your lust is moral right

If freedom you adhere to
As you scream to do at others
why is no one hated more
Then your disagreeing brothers

The Secret Child

He wondered alone
Eyes full of tears
Heart freshly broken
For the first in his years

Lost in his pain
Wanting a friend
Not picky at all
He cant see an end

She tells him its fine
Says she's taking the pill
She'll help him forget
He bends to her will

He forgets all about her
As weeks pass bye
His friend for a night
If asked he would lie

She comes to him stressed
She eats for another
His heart skips a beat
From him she's a mother

Thinking of how
To tell mom and dad
His mind races threw
The future he had

He cant take the guilt
Of running away
Leaving them both
Is just not the way

World collapsing
his mind runs wild
He cant take the thought
Of aborting the child

Then the thought comes
To erase all his woes
Just bury the girl
From her head to her toes

No one would know
She'd hardly be missed
None would suspect
They had so much as kissed

Later that night
Under cover of dark
He takes his love
For a walk in the park

She thinks all is well
As she squeezes his hand
Within the hour
She'll be part of the land

She looks at the night
Enjoys the view
Standing behind her
He's planed what to do

He readies a wire
He brought in his coat
A determined move
Brings it tight round her throat

No screams let out
No blood on the ground
He pulls all her teeth
To avoid being found

Tossed limply upright
In a deep narrow hole
Her body stands
But her eyes have no soul

Shallow grave atop her's
If hounds come sniffing
They'll find in her stead
A cat that was missing

A heavy weight lifts
From off of his heart
Free once again
As he was at the start

Weeks then go by
With no trace found
He's all but forgotten
Who he put in the ground

No admission of wrong
No guilt even mild
He did not run
Or abort the child

Just as he wants
No less and no more
His life is as free
As it once was before

As World Turns

Eyes would sparkle
At morning rays
Gentle world
At start of days

Sunrise gives
To noon high light
Innocence lost
Gives worldly height

Much like morning
Gold sky returns
Ventures left
As world turns

Night sky swallows
Quiet moon light
Worn eyes close
At close take flight

Reforge or Refuse

When late looking back
Your good was wrong
Your help was revenge
You stretch you arms long

Who is to lead you
When you've taken reins
Lost in dark places
Stored up growing pains

Are you better now
Or better made anew
Wiser from the world
No innocence in you

Stronger from the flames
But burnt beyond use
Designed purpose lost
Reforge or refuse

Fools dwell on mistakes
Forgiveness lifted up
Evil had you once
Take freedom by the cup

Summer

Summers come and summers go
Missing sun from long ago

Further floating down a stream
Thoughts adrift in sleepless dream

Golden rays of sun adorn
Memories of a past well worn

In the present forests grow
Missing sun from long ago

The Dream

I awoke in the night
In a bed not my own
Cozy and warm
In a world unknown

The room was small
And a fire was burning
for the first in my life
I was not filled with yearning

There was food on a table
and clothes laid out
A note that read
Morning will come about

I laid down my head
And closed my eyes
Night will end
The Son will rise
